We know that doctor clinic visits can be time consuming so why not reduce the time taken doing things that can be done before coming to the office or embarking on your telemedicine visit.
Patients can
1. REQUEST FOR CONSULTATION
- You can request for a consultation from your primary care physician (PCP) or call us directly (depending on your insurance)
- You can print the physician referral form on the physician referral page and take to your PCP
Your PCP can also write a consult request on a prescription and give this to you
2. INSURANCE
- You can check to see if your insurance is accepted by calling the office front desk at 915-701-2495
- List of accepted insurances will be updated soon here
Self-pay is also accepted
3. CO-PAYS and DEDUCTIBLES
- Depending on your insurance you can make payments on your co-pay/deductible if one is needed
4. WHAT TO EXPECT ON FIRST VISIT
- Depending on whether this is an office or tele-health visit
- Please be ready to provide – insurance information/card, valid photo identification, any information on prior treatments/medications/and medical records from prior gastroenterologists
- Let us know if you had recent blood work done with your PCP and we will reach out and retrieve these results
5. PATIENT FORMS
- Once you have an appointment scheduled, we will send you forms to fill out prior to your visit as this will expedite your visit and reduce wait times
- Please fil out the forms to the best of your ability
6. PATIENT PORTAL
- After your visit you will get a link to sign up for the secure Electronic Heath Record (EHR)
- This will allow for direct communication with the doctor and also to send you information as needed
7. PATIENT STORIES/REVIEWS
- Please feel free to review your visit and leave a story on how your interaction with the office staff was perceived
8. PATIENT FEEDBACK
- We believe that we are a constantly evolving GI office and welcome constructive criticism to help us improve the care we provide to our superb clientele
- If you perceived that your visit was less that professional please ask to talk to the doctor before you leave

COVID-19 RESPONSE
The recent corona-virus pandemic has impacted the way medicine is practiced. We at DC Gastro Konsult are well aware of the risks posed by face-to-face patient-doctor visits and as such have instituted measures at our practice to abide by the recommendations of public health officials and also keep our patients and staff safe.
Since it is critically important that patients continue to have unfettered access to their doctors, we have incorporated a patient friendly Telemedicine/Telehealth service, that allows direct, virtual contact with your doctor.
